Elder Aro Denise Edwers serves as the Leading Lady of Friendship Worship Center in Mount Vernon, New York, where Archbishop C. Nathan Edwers is Pastor and Presiding Prelate of the Unified Free Will Baptist General Conference. Archbishop Edwers also serves as Presiding Bishop of the Middle Atlantic Conference and Pastor of Mt. Zion UFWB Church in Edison, New Jersey.
Archbishop and Lady Denise have been married since 1987. She is the proud mother of Sherri and Eric, loving mother-in-love to Audrey, and devoted “Gigi” to Harper and Theodore.
Lady Denise enjoyed a distinguished 37-year career with Westchester County as a Senior Social Caseworker and Program Specialist with the Westchester County Youth Bureau. Following her retirement, she served as Mount Vernon Site Manager for Family Ties of Westchester and currently serves as CFO of Friendship For Tots, Inc. Learning Center.
A woman after God’s own heart, Lady Denise is a devoted worshiper who expresses her deep faith through her love for God, her family, and her community—particularly children. She channels her passion for service through her catering ministry, and her humble, approachable nature has made her beloved by all who know her.
In addition, Lady Denise oversees the Women’s Ministry for both the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) and the Unified Free Will Baptist (UFWB) Conference. Through her leadership, she strives to ensure that every woman understands she is “fearfully and wonderfully made.”
